Non-Profit Board Student Internship Program
The Non-Profit Board Student Internship program is a perfect way to learn how boards operate, to develop leadership and decision-making skills, and to gain a better sense of the contributions you can make to community.
A collaborative effort of CSL and CAPS: Your U of A Career Centre, the Internship pairs each student with a mentor and non-profit board in the Edmonton community for the academic year. Interns attend board meetings, work on projects with their host boards, and participate in a series of workshops designed to explore key practices of non-profit boards.
Workshops are offered by the Province of Alberta’s Board Development Program and cover topics such as Finance, Decision-Making, Policy Development, and Communication.
Application deadlines for the program normally occur in early April of each year. Download and begin preparing your application today!
